Single-lamp 180W marine LED searchlight

The single-lamp 180W marine LED searchlight is built to be aimed, not just switched on. One lamp head, a customisable beam angle and unlimited rotation on both axes, controlled from a wired panel in the wheelhouse or a wireless remote anywhere on the vessel. It works on inland river vessels, ocean-going ships and harbour tugs, and carries a nominal life of up to 50,000 hours. Where LED replaces traditional lighting, energy use drops by up to 70%.

One lamp head, adjustable beam, unlimited rotation

The beam angle is customisable, so the light can be set up for the working distance you actually need. Both axes rotate without end stops: the PAN sector turns continuously, and so does the TILT sector. The beam follows a target through a full sweep without having to reset. Aim it from the wired control panel inside the wheelhouse, or pick up the wireless remote and work it from the deck. If you need two heads on one mount instead of one, the dual-lamp series runs from 200W to 600W.

Specification and control features

What the single-lamp 180W searchlight gives you, in the order it usually matters to a specifier.

01
Unlimited PAN and TILT rotation
Both sectors rotate continuously. No end stops to work around when you are tracking across a beam or sweeping a bank.
02
Customisable beam angle
The beam is specified to the job rather than fixed. Tell us the vessel and the working distance and we will advise on the angle.
03
Wired panel and wireless remote
A wired control panel for use inside the wheelhouse, plus a wireless remote for operating the light from elsewhere on the vessel.
04
Multi-light control from one point
Several lights can be synchronised and run from a single wired panel or one remote, and each light can still be controlled independently.
05
Reinforced tempered safety glass
The front glass is reinforced tempered safety glass, chosen for the vibration and impact a searchlight takes at sea.
06
Three colour temperatures
Choose 4000K, 5000K or 6500K to suit the crew’s preference and the task, from warm-neutral deck work to cooler long-range searching.
07
Standard housing colours
Black RAL 9011, white RAL 9016 and grey RAL 9006 are the standard housing finishes. Other colours are available on request.
08
Nominal life up to 50,000 hours
Long service intervals matter when the light sits on a mast or an upper deck that is awkward to reach underway.
09
Three-year warranty
Three years on this model. For any other product in the range, ask us to confirm the warranty term that applies before you order.

Operations crews use the 180W searchlight for

Search and rescue
Continuous rotation and a remote-operated head let one crew member hold a target in the beam while the vessel manoeuvres.
Entering and leaving port
Pick up buoys, quay edges and mooring lines on approach and departure, aimed from the wheelhouse panel without leaving the helm.
Marinas, locks and docks
Tight, low-speed manoeuvring where the beam has to be moved constantly between lock walls, fenders and bollards.
Loading and unloading
Light the working area from the vessel itself, and re-aim the head as the cargo operation moves along the deck or the quay.

How we support the specification

JNLED has manufactured LED lighting from Hong Kong since 2010. We hold our own moulds on key product lines and build with Philips Lumileds and Nichia LEDs with Mean Well drivers. Components are bought direct from the chip, driver and coating suppliers, which is what lets us adjust a product to a vessel rather than sell only what is in stock. Specification figures are published per product across the catalogue; for the marine searchlights, ask us to confirm the figures that apply to your build. Before you commit, we can produce a light-simulation report for the area you need to cover and a cost-saving calculation against the lighting you run now. After that, we handle project design, production, logistics including customs clearance and warehousing, worldwide shipping and installation support. Send the vessel type, the mounting position and the distance you need to reach, and we will come back with a specification.
